Views from Bermuda’s Tobacco Bay Park

by Janis on August 11, 2012

Tobacco Bay Park offers clear water, ideal for snorkeling.

The namesake tobacco crop did not flourish here as intended, but what a view.

Fort St. Catherine is a short walk away.

Look close to see the snorkelers enjoying Tobacco Bay.

The views justify a visit, even if you don’t swim or snorkel.

The beach can be crowded.

But there are also more secluded coves.

Tobacco Bay Park has changing rooms, showers and toilets as well as a snack bar.

From Hamilton, Bermuda, take public buses #s 10 or 11 to reach St. Georges Island, on Bermuda’s East End.

We visited Bermuda on Holland America’s Veendam, sailing from New York City.
