Some of us enjoy cruising on the open ocean while others enjoy flying on wings of steel, but those of us who like to drive to our travel destination look no further this post is for you. Before you head out on your next driving travel adventure keep these tips in mind.
1. Decide whether you are a morning or night driver.
Everyone likes to drive or leave the house at different times so decide which option is best for you.
2. Pack yourself and/or the family snacks and drinks before you leave.
You never know when you are going to get thirsty or have the munchies between stops so pack some of your favorite treats.
It is up to you whether to pack celery sticks or Little Debbie cakes.
3. Review your route before you go.
It is good just to look over what interstates or back roads you will be taking before you leave so you have a sense of where you are going.
4. Make a road tunes playlist.
You do not want to listen to lullabies or commercials while driving down the road, so whether rock or rap or country is your go to genre make a playlist that will keep you awake and your eyes on the road.
5. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. There is no reason to wear clothes that are tight and restraining while driving. Throw on a t-shirt and sweatpants because you need to be as comfortable as possible for the long haul.
6. Fuel up your vehicle and have almost everything packed except for the essentials before you leave.
This will help you get out of the house and on the road sooner rather than later.
