Photo Friday: A Santa Gathering at the London Eye

by Janis on December 17, 2010

Here, a  group of Santas await their caspule for a spin on the London Eye.  They are just a few of the 3.75 million people that annually ride the iconic London Eye sky wheel.    Originally built to celebrate the Millennium, theLondon Eye is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary in 2010.
On a clear day, you can see more than 25 miles from the top of the Eye  to get a glimspe of Windsor Castle.  The 30 minute ride costs £16.15 when booked online at least one day in advance for a standard flight ticket, a 10 percent savings from the walk-up fare of £17.95 per adult passenger.
